Thanks on the portrait. That was taken by my Scottish friend that couldn't take a picture to save her life. I was actually sitting and chatting at the time to someone so I don't know how it came out at all. That is amazing that you could take photos like that at 800. I want that lens for just that reason, your not intruding on people while they are trying to relax and have a good time, and the low light benefits too. I was photographing a Bat Mitzvah Sat. and thought that my NEW 17-55 was going to be better at low light than it was. After seeing your photos it makes me think more than ever that I need that lens. It's just that I want to see it and shoot a couple of shots with it before I buy it. I finally found one in stock at Camera Land in NH. It's just finding the time to go up there. Actually if the offer still stands to check out your lenses I would love to do that some time. Let me know and let me know where we could get together, if you have time that is. Talk to you soon, Linda

Hi Linda,
Yes, the 50mm, as before. I don't really have a zoom that is as bright as that is, and I like to use available light so as not to be intrusive. I started the evening at 400 iso, but I found 800 was still an acceptable noise level but much better in limiting vibration.

Great portrait of you!

Adrien
